Reports on the state of science in the world

Since 1994, every two years, UNESCO publishes the World Science Report, containing analytical articles by the world leading scholars on the most urgent problems of modern science.

In 1999 the first World Social Science Report was published.

Other publications

UNESCO also publishes the International Social Science Journal, the World of Science and the Diogenes journals. Guidelines for the preparation of professionals involved in urban issues, a report on the Universal Ethics project, an anthology of the philosophical issues of education in the spirit of democracy, monographs on the teaching and research in the field of philosophy, the report “Philosophy: A School of Freedom” (about the situation with proliferation of philosophy in the world, 2007) have been published.
